Mixing The GroMix for the Patio Garden

 This should be done ahead of time.  The media may also be used to start seedlings for the system.

1. Place the coconut coir block in a large bin, such as a Rubbermaid 18-20 gallon container.
2. Add 3 gallons of water. Note: It is better to use working solution to hydrate the coco coir.
   *If using tap water, let the water sit out for 24 hours to allow the chlorine to dissipate before soaking the coconut coir.
3. Break up coconut coir, if necessary, but it should fully hydrate in 20 minutes on its own.
4. Rinse the perlite, and add to the coconut coir.
5. Mix well.
