I’d like to get my (single) tower automated with a Raspberry Pi before I order a 10 tower garden and build a greenhouse for it (Alaska summers are wonderful, but not terribly long).

I saw Larry’s setup and I’d like to do something similar, but controlled by the Pi and have it notify me when it is running into any difficulties.

I can wade into the general population for recommendations, but if Larry has found things that work for him in the realm of sensors or algorithms then I’d have some place trusted to start from.
